You only have one body, love the one you’re in.
As we get older, our bodies naturally start to produce less collagen and store more fat, leading to a greater chance of wrinkles, sagging skin, and even cellulite.
At Skin Appeal we offer Body FX and Venus Legacy Treatments. At your consultation your treatment provider will decide which treatment is best for you.
These 2 machines are designed to tighten the skin by stimulating collagen production. It does so with the heat it generates and delivers to the skin and fat layers.
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body. One of its primary roles is to provide structure to the skin, keeping it tight and firm.
Unfortunately, the body’s collagen production decreases by about 1% per year. This is why it’s natural for the skin to become loose over time. The toll of gravity then exacerbates the effects, pulling the skin down and making it sag.
Body FX and Venus Legacy helps counter those effects by inducing collagen production. It can also boost blood circulation while causing the skin to contract. These actions can then help make the skin look plumper and even thicker.
Will these treatments work for everyone?
Body FX and Venus Legacy treatments may be the ideal solution for anyone who has pockets of cellulite and/or excess body fat that they can’t seem to get rid of with diet and exercise alone. They can help improve the appearance of skin that is starting to lose elasticity and is showing early signs of sagging and wrinkles. For safety reasons, anyone with the following conditions may not be able to get treatments with Venus Legacy™:
• Active inflammation and/or an infection around the treatment area
• Current or history of cancer
• A degenerative neurologic disease or any other disease around the treatment area that’s stimulated by heat (e.g. herpes)
• An internal defibrillator or pacemaker
• Metal implants (excluding dental) in or around the treatment area
• Uncontrolled thyroid gland disorder
• Varicose veins
• Pregnancy or are undergoing IVF procedures
• Skin-related autoimmune diseases
• Silicone implants and/or injections in the area
What areas can be treated?
Body FX can be used to treat many areas of the body including:
• Inner and outer thighs
• Love handles
Am I A Good Candidate For Body FX?
• Be healthy without medical conditions that impair or delay healing, or any conditions that can increase the risks of non-invasive procedures. • Be at or close to their ideal body weight. • Commit to leading a healthy lifestyle with proper fitness and nutrition. • Have realistic goals and a positive outlook
How Long Do Results Last?
Results are permanent and are maintained with a proper diet and exercise. Body FX does not eliminate the body’s ability to gain fat and/or cellulite, it only destroys the fat and cellulite that is already present due to genetics or lifestyle.
How Long Does It Take To See Results?
You should be able to see results after your first treatment as far as reduction of fat and cellulite, while the skin tightening effects take more time to see. After the first few treatments, your skin’s surface should feel smoother and softer. The final result peaks at around 6 months.
Are Maintenance Treatments Will Be Needed After The Series Of Sessions?
Series of sessions will be needed to see results, typically once a week for 8-10 weeks with upkeep treatments every 3-4 months to maintain results.
What Is The Post-Procedure Care?
There is absolutely no downtime.
Does the treatment work on darker skin, too?
Absolutely! Venus Legacy™ uses advanced radio frequency technology to safely and comfortably heat the tissue under the skin’s surface. Radio frequency technology has been proven to be safe and effective for all skin tones, even darker complexions.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for a treatment?
Preparing for a Venus Legacy™ treatment is simple. Cleanse the skin before your appointment. Do not apply lotions, creams, or makeup to the area being treated prior to the treatment session. Finally, remember to remove all jewelry around the treatment area.
How long does the treatment take?
A single session typically takes between 15 and 30 minutes, meaning it’s quick enough to schedule treatments during a lunch break!
What does the treatment feel like? Will it be painful?
During the treatment, the applicator will slowly get warmer until your skin reaches the needed temperature and stays within that temperature range. If it feels too hot, just let the operator know and they can lower the temperature. If the technician is using the VariPulse™ feature, it will feel like a gentle suction on your skin, like a very low-power vacuum. This can also be lowered if needed—there are four different levels of VariPulse™. Overall, the treatments are comfortable, as the level of heat and suction can easily be adjusted to suit each individual.
How many sessions will I need and how often?
Most patients receive six to eight treatments per area. Treatments are usually scheduled a week apart. For a more specific treatment plan based on your individual needs and expectations, consult a certified treatment provider.
How will I feel after my treatment?
Most patients feel relaxed after a Venus Legacy™ session. In fact, the treatment is so comfortable that some patients have even fallen asleep! The treated area may feel warm to the touch post-treatment, but this sensation will subside.
Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime at all. The treatment area may appear a little flushed and feel warm to the touch immediately afterward, but these sensations will disappear within one to two hours post-treatment.
Do I need to do anything after my treatment?
Absolutely nothing! In fact, feel free to apply makeup or lotion immediately after the treatment. You can go back to your regular routine right away.
How long will the results last? Are they permanent?
Venus Legacy™ treatments are cumulative, meaning that you will see improved results with each additional treatment. After the final session in your treatment plan, the results will continue to improve for up to three to four months. Of course, everyone’s skin and body will continue to age as usual, so maintenance is recommended. Your treatment provider will be able to suggest the best plan for maintenance.
