Inmode Fractora Resurfacing and Firming

Fractora is a fractional radiofrequency microneedle treatment that takes micro-needling to the next level.  It provides patients with skin improvements such as anti-aging, better tone, and improved texture. It combats loss of collagen and elastin.  It addresses the well-known signs of photodamage, with fine and deep lines on the face, neck, chest and body; uneven skin texture; loose skin; large pores; pigment irregularities; scars; stretch marks; blood vessels and redness.

How RF Microneedling works

Fractora stimulates collagen production via fractionated RF (radio-frequency) coagulation. This improves skin quality achieving a more balanced skin tone and youthful appearance, for all skin types. Fractora peer-reviewed clinical studies also demonstrate impressive results for the treatment of acne scars and active acne, even cystic.

As a nonsurgical skin-rejuvenating treatment, Fractora RF delivers radiofrequency energy below the skin’s surface, via micro-needling. The Fractora RF device makes micro-injuries in the dermis (the lower layer of the skin) with tiny needles and fractionated radiofrequency energy, experienced as heat.

This triggers the skin’s natural healing response, restructuring the existing collagen, stimulating the production of more, and increasing the rate of cell turnover. The result is tighter, firmer skin, with better tone and more even texture. It also helps reduce acne by shrinking the skin’s oil glands.

Because the treatment generally promotes healthy new skin, it can effectively treat many concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, mild sagging, scars, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, and even active acne.

Though it’s most commonly used on the face and neck, Fractora RF can treat any area of the body. It’s also safe for all skin tones, because it targets the deeper layers of the skin—unlike lasers, which target the superficial layers.

How Does Fractora Work?

Fractora works by delivering radiofrequency energy to the skin through a series of very tiny pins that pierce the skin.

  • Localized heat is generated by the Fractora pins into the sub-dermal layers.
  • This encourages the body to produce collagen which will rejuvenate and improve the appearance of the skin.
  • The series of micro-lesions encourages the skin to heal faster from within.

While microneedling is its own type of treatment for collagen production, the inclusion of radiofrequency is what sets Fractora apart. The radiofrequency increases collagen and elastin production to a  more significant degree than microneedling would on its own.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY TREATMENT?
For a week before your treatment, stay out of the sun, discontinue use of topical retinoids, and keep your skin well-hydrated by moisturising in the morning and evening. WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR TREATMENT:
A Fractora RF treatment typically lasts an hour or two. Your provider will first apply a numbing cream to your skin.

Once you’re numb, your provider will stamp the handheld Fractora RF device into your skin repeatedly, across the full treatment area. With each contact, the needles puncture your skin and transmit the radiofrequency energy as heat. The anaesthetic should mitigate pain, but you may still feel some discomfort.

WHEN CAN I PUT MAKE-UP ON AFTER TREATMENT?
Since patient downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters.

WHAT KIND OF POST PROCEDURE CARE IS REQUIRED?
You will be sent  home with detailed aftercare instructions. You shouldn’t experience too much discomfort, but some mild reddening of the skin and some possible slight swelling can occur. Patients should moisturize the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It’s important to stay out of the sun for at least a month, to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation. Your fresh new skin will be more sensitive and making a regular habit of wearing a good, broad-spectrum sunscreen every day to help protect against future skin damage. In addition to reducing future risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow the ageing process.
