Large Pores

Large Pore Solutions

Pores play a vital role in letting our skin breathe and helping get rid of toxins. For the most part, pore size is genetic, but another driving cause is high oil production and decreased skin elasticity that comes with age due to collagen and elastin loss.

There are also some personal habits that can make large pores worse like picking at pimples, touching your face, hormone fluctuations, sun exposure, dirty pillowcases, dirty cellphone, smoking & wearing makeup when you work out.

Our treatments for large pores include exfoliation, increasing cell turnover and stimulating production of collagen and elastin to tighten the skin and make pores appear smaller.  Customized medical grade skincare is also part of the recommended treatment.

Radiofrequency microneedling is a combination procedure, bringing together the radiofrequency waves used in RF skin treatments and microneedling to maximize the final outcome. Microneedling creates microscopic channels, or holes, within your skin, which stimulates collagen production. In this specific combination procedure, radiofrequency waves are also emitted into the channels, boosting the results even further. RF therapy uses low energy radiation to heat the deep layer of your skin called the dermis. This heat stimulates the production of collagen to help improve signs of wrinkles and sagging skin. Research has found that RF therapy is safe and can be effective at treating mild or moderate signs of aging,

Microneedling is used to treat a variety of skin conditions that cause depressions in the skin such as acne scarring, surgical scars, other scars, burns, enlarged pores, wrinkles (rhytides), and stretch marks (striae). Because microneedling does not deliver heat to the skin like lasers do, people who have melasma (dark patches of skin) and hyperpigmentation (dark spots on the skin) can undergo microneedling without the risk of worsening pigmentation problems. (Darker skin is susceptible to pigmentation changes as a post-inflammatory response.)

Facial Peels have been used for decades to rejuvenate and refine the look of our skin. The effects of chronic sun exposure, acne and aging can result in blemishes, uneven tone and pigmentation, a spotted and dull appearance, scarring or finely wrinkled areas. Our medical grade chemical peels work by removing the outermost layer of skin, causing immediate gratification by diminishing imperfections. Peels effectively combat dullness, blotchiness, age and sun spots, hyperpigmentation, reduce pore size and improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Peels can be used as a stand alone treatment or as a part of a regimented plan for more dramatic effect when combined with other treatments or procedures.
