Scars & Stretchmarks

Scars & Stretchmark Solutions

A stretch mark is a type of scar that develops when skin stretches or shrinks quickly.  The abrupt change causes the collagen and elastin, which support our skin, to rupture.  As the skin heals, stretch marks or scars appear.  When stretch marks first appear, they tend to be red, purple, pink or dark brown.   Scars and stretch marks are permanent but colour will fade with time.

Our treatments exfoliate, even out discolouration and stimulate collagen and elastin production to help smooth out the scar.

You only have one body, love the one you’re in. As we get older, our bodies naturally start to produce less collagen and store more fat, leading to a greater chance of wrinkles, sagging skin, and even cellulite. The Venus Legacy is designed to tighten the skin by stimulating collagen production. It does so with the heat it generates and delivers to the skin and fat layers. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body. One of its primary roles is to provide structure to the skin, keeping it tight and firm. Unfortunately, the body’s collagen production decreases by about 1% per year. This is why it’s natural for the skin to become loose over time. The toll of gravity then exacerbates the effects, pulling the skin down and making it sag. Body Contouring helps counter those effects by inducing collagen production. It can also boost blood circulation while causing the skin to contract. These actions can then help make the skin look plumper and even thicker. Tighter Skin, happier you!

Radiofrequency microneedling is a combination procedure, bringing together the radiofrequency waves used in RF skin treatments and microneedling to maximize the final outcome. Microneedling creates microscopic channels, or holes, within your skin, which stimulates collagen production. In this specific combination procedure, radiofrequency waves are also emitted into the channels, boosting the results even further. RF therapy uses low energy radiation to heat the deep layer of your skin called the dermis. This heat stimulates the production of collagen to help improve signs of wrinkles and sagging skin. Research has found that RF therapy is safe and can be effective at treating mild or moderate signs of aging,

Microneedling is used to treat a variety of skin conditions that cause depressions in the skin such as acne scarring, surgical scars, other scars, burns, enlarged pores, wrinkles (rhytides), and stretch marks (striae). Because microneedling does not deliver heat to the skin like lasers do, people who have melasma (dark patches of skin) and hyperpigmentation (dark spots on the skin) can undergo microneedling without the risk of worsening pigmentation problems. (Darker skin is susceptible to pigmentation changes as a post-inflammatory response.)

Fractora is a fractional radiofrequency microneedle treatment that takes micro-needling to the next level. It provides patients with skin improvements such as anti-aging, better tone, and improved texture. It combats loss of collagen and elastin. It addresses the well-known signs of photodamage, with fine and deep lines on the face, neck, chest and body; uneven skin texture; loose skin; large pores; pigment irregularities; scars; stretch marks; blood vessels and redness.
