How It Works

We use the V2 Injection Beauty Booster.  It is a microneedling treatment that uses fine needles to inject small quantities of either Redensity 1 ( Hyaluronic Acid Gel),  Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) OR  Redensity 1 PLUS  PRP. 

There is excellent precision with this treatment so depth and accuracy allow it to really target your skin’s hydration, laxity, fine lines and texture.  The microneedling action stimulates collagen and the delivery of the product beneath the skin is transformative.

How do you decide what product to use with the Beauty Booster?

Platelet Rich Plasma ( PRP) -  also called THE VAMPIRE FACIAL.

Blood has two main components, red blood cells and plasma;plasma is made of white blood cells and platelets and the platelets are rich in growth factors. Those factors act as messengers to signal cells to regenerate promoting a fresher healthier complexion.

At this treatment we remove some of your own blood and then spin it down leaving us with your very own growth factor serum. 

The PRP (Vampire Facial) delivers Growthfactor into the skin to help facilitate a glowing, youthful complexion.

Redensity 1 ( Hyaluronic Acid Gel) Hydration Facial

Hyaluronic Acid is a substance that is present in our own skin but depletes with time leaving skin dehydrated and fragile.

Redensity 1 is a non-cross linked hyaluronic acid filler, formulated with anti-oxidants, amino acids, vitamins and minerals that unlike traditional dermal fillers does NOT volumize the face or skin.  It is a gel like fluid that allows for smooth application of the product with the microneedling technique of the Beauty Booster.

Using the Beauty Booster microneedling device we deliver precise amount of this hydration gel beneath the skin where topical products do not reach.   The results are plumper, smoother and firmer skin.   Crepey skin along the lower cheeks is decreased, fine lines and wrinkles are plumped out and minimized, skin feels tighter, smoother and refreshed.

  PRP is full of growth factors to help accelerate skin healing AND the skin boosting Redensity 1 comprising of plumping hydration.  PRP paired with the Redensity 1 stimulates tissue repair known as wound response which aids with many skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation as well as texture, tone and hydration.  The growth factor in the PRP signals cells in the area to regenerate and repair whilst the Redensity 1 Hyaluronic Acid hydrates and plumps the skin achieving tighter firmer skin.
  

Who is a good candidate for these treatments?
This treatment is suitable for all ages and skin types, but especially designed for anyone lacking skin radiance and firmness, or with ageing concerns such as wrinkles, folds, fine lines or if you have thin dull crepey skin.  It is also ideal for those looking for a treatment that will help prevent future signs of aging as new collagen and elastin is created. After a treatment you will notice firmer and improved texture and a glowing complexion. 

Is there downtime?

Following the treatment, skin will be red, bumpy and flushed in appearance but that will subside in 4-24 hours.  Some people experience mild post treatment swelling and a sunburn like sensation.  Tiny bruises may appear at the point of the microneedling injection points and can take 4 days to resolve.  Make up may be applied after 24 hours.  We will send you home with a barrier cream which we will ask you to use for the first 24 hours.

The small micro-injection points from the microneedling close over after 24 hours but we ask you to avoid activities that would involve stirring up dirt, dust, etc.  Keeping the area clean is important for optimal healing.  We recommend avoiding strenuous activities, hot tubs, sauna’s, chlorinated pools for at least 3 days.  We recommend making sure that you have at least 2 weeks after your treatment before you plan a special event.

What can you expect after a treatment?

The results are seen immediately after the first session.  Gradually, from one treatment to the next-as your skin rebuilds collagen the complexion looks increasingly radiant, and the skin becomes firmer. 

Does it hurt?

This treatment can be uncomfortable so we use a topical numbing cream prior to the treatment.  This makes the treatment very tolerable.

How long does it take?

Plan on 60 min to include the time for the topical numbing to start to work.

How many treatments will I need?

The recommended protocol for optimal results is 3 sessions at 4 week intervals.  After these 3 treatments are complete, your maintenance is one every 6-12 months.  You can alternate between PRP, Redensity 1 or PRP + Redensity 1. 

Will using Redensity 1 ( Hyaluronic Acid Gel)  add volume to my face and make it puffy?

No.  Redensity 1 is specifically formulated to address skin quality and hydration, without adding volume. 

Do I need to do anything in preparation for a Beauty Booster Treatment?

Please let us know if you are on any blood thinner medications or over the counter products that thin the blood.  These can increase the incidence of bruising.

Please advise us prior to treatment if you tend to get cold sores.  This viral infection may be re-activated by some treatments.  You may require anti-viral medication before you come for the treatment.  We ask that you do not use any retinol products for 5 days prior to the treatment.  We cannot do the treatment if you have a sunburn or any skin irritation or infection.
