Inmode Forma Skin Tightening

Forma is a thermal skin rejuvenation treatment that results in a natural lifted appearance.

It is a painless, non-invasive and non-surgical treatment that tightens and lifts the skin using radio frequency energy.  It heats the deeper layers of your skin to stimulate the formation of new collagen to help firm & tighten the skin.  Collagen is an essential component of the skin and is important in maintaining the elasticity of the skin.  It allows the skin to stretch and then, retracts back to its normal state just like an elastic band.

Forma works beautifully on the face, neck and decollete.

Benefits of this treatment:

Minimal to no downtime.  It achieves results without prolonged redness or pigmentation concerns commonly seen with other more invasive procedures.

  • Tighter, smoother skin.
  • Reduces skin irregularities and appearance of fine lines.
  • It is safe and comfortable.

FAQs

Who can have this treatment?

This treatment is suitable for all patients who are not pregnant or breastfeeding. It cannot be done if you have a pacemaker or defibrillator.

  • It is safe to use on all skin types including very light and darker skin tones.
  • It corrects early stages of skin laxity AND slows down collagen loss.

This treatment is optimal for those who want to slow down the age- related changes that appear on the skin as it begins to sag and lose its firmness and elasticity.  It is also good for younger clients who are looking for brighter skin and a more defined jawline and cheeks.

How many treatments will I need?

You can expect to have weekly treatments over a six week period.  A maintenance of one treatment is recommended every 6-12 weeks depending on goal.

What does the treatment involve?

Your treatment provider will cleanse your skin.  An ultrasound gel will be applied to the treatment area and the Forma handpiece will glide over the selected treatment area until a specific temperature is reached and maintained.  Radio frequency will deeply and comfortably enter the skin, heating it.  This temperature will be maintained by the built in temperature gauge so no areas are over or under treated.  Each session lasts 30-60 minutes.

What are the side effects?

These treatments are painless and have no downtime.  The most common side effects include moderate redness that resolves in few hours or less.

If you tend to get cold sores, this treatment can cause an outbreak.  It is recommended to pre-treat as prescribed by your physician.

When will I see results?

During the treatment most people will experience a comfortable heat sensation and “feel”tighter. Over time you typically notice improvement to skin tone, feel lifted and a see a decrease in fine lines. Multiple sessions are required for greatest results, and you should expect your progress to improve with each visit.  Optimal result is seen several months after the last treatment.  Because this treatment is designed to stimulate your body to create collagen we have to give the body time to do its job.

Do I need to stop any types of skincare or treatments beforehand?

It is recommended that you stop retinol use 1 week prior to the start of your program and wait one week after you are done your series. If you are on Accutane you should wait 6 months before doing this treatment. You should wait at least one week after the Forma treatment before doing any injectables or other treatments.
